The key is learning productively.

With the manifold growth in e-learning space, we consume 5 times more information than ever before. And one would think that this would translate into increased knowledge. But no, unfortunately, this doesn’t appear to be the case.

We’re consuming more information but not learning more. In short, we have become less productive learners. Learning productively is more important than learning more. With most people, studying or learning can be daunting, time consuming or just plain boring. You know how to overcome this? Make it Productive & Fun! Don’t worry it is much easier than it sounds. Once you have created an enjoyable learning routine, you will find that your understanding improves quickly performance skyrockets! So, how do you make it happen?

While you learn, it is incredibly important to properly manage your time and maintain productivity. Well, start by checking out these easy learning tips. Try them out and see which ones work best for you! Ready to get started? Let’s do it!

  1. Create a mind map: Once you’ve learned how to create mind maps, you’ll be amazed at how much faster you’ll memorize information and how easy it can be to write everything in exams, and more! A mind map is a diagram that displays information visually which makes it memorable. Ah! Do I see someone keen to know more about this magical memory trick? Find out about it in the end.

2. Learn what is relevant: With abundance of e-content that is available to learn and study on a particular subject, start by sorting out what is relevant to you. And don’t get lost in the ocean of data and information.

3. Make a planner: The best productivity tool you can utilize is a planner. However, being productive isn’t just simply having a planner and perhaps writing a few things in it, but actually using it effectively!

4. Write your own notes: A great exercise for studying is to completely write notes on your own. Whatever your understanding is, put it on the paper. And keep on improvising it every time you refer to it.

5. Create your own study guide: Creating your own study guide is, by itself, a great way to study. Start by sitting down and creating an outline of the material. Use your lecture or chapter titles and subtitles, then move on from there.

6. Take Breaks: Study breaks are so incredibly important! Contrary to popular belief, taking breaks can lead to more productivity. This will help you clear your mind, de-stress, and help you study for a longer period of time overall.

7. Make Everything Count Twice: Being Efficient to be more productive, you need to focus. Multitasking is a misnomer because our brains can really only focus on one task at a time. Block out chunks of time during your study to just focus on one subject at a time!

8. Manage your time: Time management is most important to use your time practically, successfully, and productively. For example, someone with great time management skills will be able to get more done in one day than most others.

9. Make it relatable to you: This is one of the most important points to make in teaching yourself something: be passionate about it, and the rest will follow.

So here you are all ready to get started. Oh! Yes I do remember to tell you about the magic trick of Mind Mapping. Stay tuned for it folks! We are coming out with it on Monday.
