How does sleep even go along with the importance of time management, you wonder? It actually does, because chronotypes exist. A person’s chronotype is their sleep pattern. We spend so much time struggling against the urge to fall asleep in a bid to remain productive. Why fight something that’s natural? Especially when you can use it to your advantage? Work with your sleep schedule. Maximise your time management skills by identifying your sleep chronotype:

  • Bear Chronotype:

People belonging to the bear chronotype follow the solar pattern of the day. Their waking and sleeping time follows the average population. During the evening, they feel sluggish. The best time for them to work is during the prime hours of the day — from 10 AM to 2 PM. This is when they can make the most of their time.

  • Wolf Chronotype:

Those having the wolf chronotype are creatures of the night. They sleep late and are up for quite some time during this time. They are the least productive in the mornings. Evenings and late hours are the fittest time for them to work — 5 PM to 12 AM. A nocturnal productivity schedule is the best for them.

  • Lion Chronotype:

The lion chronotype people are early rising folks. They are the first ones to rise at the crack of dawn. Yet, as afternoon arrives, they are drained. The most active time for them is during the beginning hours of the day — from 8 AM to 12 PM. Early to bed and early to rise is the top way for them to manage their time is to work early.

  • Dolphin Chronotype:

Individuals having dolphin chronotype are perpetually suffering from insomnia. They almost never get a full night’s sleep. Hence, they feel tired for a lot of time even as the day begins. It is during midday that they begin to reach their productivity period — 3 PM to 9 PM. It’s best for them to manage their work during this peak phase before the weariness arrives.
